WILD MAGIC By Cat Weatherill

cover artCat Weatherill’s new fantasy takes the legend of the Pied Piper and gives it an unexpected twist.  The story begins when the piper leads the children of Hamelin through a magic door.  The main character Marianna and her disabled brother, Jakob have followed the enchanted music and are now trapped in a world of wild magic.

The story back tracks to tell us the tale of the piper who is half human and half elf, cursed to turn into a beast when there is a full moon.  His salvation can only come from a child with special powers.  But the price of breaking the curse is a terrible one.

This dark, magical tale is exciting, although disjointed at times, it still has the power to keep any young teen wanting to know more……
